Led by our pre- and postnatal trained instructors, these once-weekly, small-group sessions provide gentle, safe, and effective movement using Pilates equipment like the Reformer, Fitball, and Mat.

Whether you’re brand new to exercise, an experienced mover, or simply wanting to do the best thing for your mind and body during pregnancy and beyond, our classes are designed for you. Our instructors provide personalised attention and tailored adjustments to support every mum safely and effectively through each stage of pregnancy.

Classes run Sundays at 11:30 am, starting 5th October 2025.

FAQs

Do I need Pilates or fitness experience?
Not at all! Our program is suitable for all levels, from complete beginners to experienced exercisers. Pilates is the perfect form of low-impact exercise for gentle yet effective movement during pregnancy.

Is it safe during pregnancy?
Yes – our instructors are pre- and postnatal trained and will provide modifications and support to ensure every movement is safe for you and your baby. We do recommend seeking medical clearance from your healthcare provider before starting any new exercise program.

What if I’m in my first or third trimester?
You can join at any stage of pregnancy, and we’ll adjust exercises to suit your comfort, energy levels, and trimester-specific needs.

What equipment will we use?
Classes include the Reformer, Fitball, and Mat for a gentle yet effective workout tailored to pregnancy. We may also use light handweights and stretchy bands and have pregnancy wedges used to position you for comfort and safety.

How big are the classes?
Sessions are kept small and intimate (max 10) to ensure you receive personalised attention and guidance.

Can this help with labour and postpartum recovery?
Absolutely! Pilates helps strengthen your body, improve breath control, and support pelvic floor health – all of which prepare you for labour and speed up postpartum recovery.

What happens after the 6 week course?

There are a few options for you. You can continue on to the next block of 6 week pregnancy classes, refining and continuing to strengthen your body, making adjustments as needed for your changing body.

Alternatively, you can join any of our timetabled reformer pilates classes. Our instructors are all trained to provide the necessary modifications to keep you safe all the way through your pregnancy.

The 6 week course dates don’t suit me. Can I still do Pilates at Spring Reform?

Absolutely! All of our Reformer Pilates classes can be modified to suit your needs during pregnancy. Just let your instructor know that you are pregnant, and she will take care of you throughout the class.
